FIRST® LEGO® League Junior (Jr. FLL) is a collaborative effort between FIRST® and The LEGO® group. This program sets out to direct the curiosity of children, ages 6-9, towards science and engineering. Each year, a challenge is released, and the Jr. FLL teams design and build a challenge- related model out of LEGO® parts. Along side the model, they also create a Show Me poster, which illustrates their hard work. During the course of their season, they not only have the opportunity to explore real-world issues, but will also begin to develop their teamwork skills and, most importantly, have fun in the process. This past year, the Jr. FLL topic was Aqua Adventure. Teams from 12 countries set out to explore where the water they use in their daily lives comes from. After working hard and getting their model and poster complete, some teams submitted their project to the Jr. FLL website. To see an online showcase of some of their projects, click here.
